With
over 30 years’ experience in the trade, Alan Burrows and his dedicated team are on hand to carry out everything from
minor carpentry repairs to bespoke extensions and loft conversions.
Alan
first started as a carpenter’s apprentice back in 1967, and has now become established as one of the most reliable,
respectable and reasonably-priced builders in the trade.
However,
corners are never cut and jobs are finished on time, but not until the customer is completely satisfied.
The
emphasis has always been on the customer. Larger jobs, like extensions and loft conversions can be tailor-made to your
own specifications – right down the light bulbs and hinges.
The
process all starts with a free estimate, when we can sit down with you over a cup of tea (you know how builders like
their tea: two sugars and a splash of milk) and discuss exactly what you want us to do. From your ideas, we will then create
an individual design just for you. This is where 30 years of experience comes in – Alan knows what is possible, and
what is not.
Possible
timescales will also be discussed. Being a builder means you automatically have the stigma that ‘the work will never
be finished on time’. Here at Alan Burrows we have done everything to ensure this is not the case: timescales are realistic,
not optimistic.
Excellent
work takes time; and the team prides itself on the work it does – as you can see from the beautiful extension refurbishment
on the left. But the experience of Alan’s team means that a job like this can take just 10 weeks to complete, from
start to finish.
The
beauty of having a small team is that we can concentrate all our efforts on one job. We don’t have 15 huge jobs on the
go … we like our customers feel that we are there for them; from start to finish everything is site-managed.
With
a small team it also means that the boss is often onsite, and at the very least on the end of a phone. There are no middlemen
and Alan has handpicked his staff to cater for all kinds of work.
